I’m a new center owner and my first client was my 81 year old dad. In the past year he has been in and out of the hospital for heart related issues and was also diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He spent most of the month of February in the hospital and ever since being released his mental cognition has continually declined. It was at the point where he had two basic things he said, “I feel like I’m in a fog” and “I can’t think.” Our egg was assembled this week and he had expressed great interest in checking the egg out before he went into zombie mode. While driving him to the studio I put on his favorite Santana song which didn’t spark much more than a blank stare from him. Disappointing. When I got him loaded into the egg I asked him what he thought so far and again, “I don’t know.” I helped him with an intention, closed the doors and said a prayer. When his time was up I opened the doors and he was sawing logs. Once I got him woken up he had a big ol’ smile on his face, a stark contrast to the thousand yard stare he had before. He said the session was a trip, deeply relaxing and wondered if he could go again tomorrow. lol. Getting him out of the pod he actually had more control over his motor functions as well. On the drive home I played that same Santana song and he started tapping his hands and feet with the rhythm of the music. Words don’t do justice to what I experienced with my dad in the before and after the session. The egg gave me my dad back. I’m a new egg guardian and am excited for what lies ahead with the egg now in our community.
